Any of the unabridged readings here is the actual novel, and they run 8 hrs 10 mins to 11 hrs 43 mins; Dan Stevens is the one Audible UK lists first and it is complete and read by one person, which makes it the safe default. What matters far more than which you pick is which you avoid. Kenneth Branagh at 3 hours 1 minute is abridged, and it is the listing most likely to be bought by mistake because the name carries authority. The 43-minute listing is not a shorter version at all but a radio play, which its description says and its title does not. Neither is a bad recording; neither is Frankenstein.
