Which order should you listen in?
Publication order, and it matters: Flavia ages, the family's fortunes change, and the later books send her away from Bishop's Lacey altogether. Sophie Aldred has not recorded the first book; the complete reading of it on the UK store is Jayne Entwistle's, who has also recorded the rest, so a listener who starts with her can stay with one voice. Numb Were the Beadsman's Fingers is on pre-order and is not listed until it is released.
Before you buy a run: The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie is not read by Sophie Aldred: the complete recording of it is Jayne Entwistle's.
