Publication order is chronological — this is one continuous first-person life story, so there is no alternative order to consider. Inside the Last Kingdom, read by Matt Bates, is three short Uhtred stories — the same three printed in the book Uhtred's Feast — showing him as a boy, as Alfred's adviser and as a prince. It came out after the last novel and is listed last.
