Which Carry On, Jeeves recording should you buy?
A book of ten stories. It is sold as complete readings running 7 hrs 3 mins to 8 hrs 39 mins, solo and by a cast, as a selection of seven stories that Audible marks unabridged, and inside Stephen Fry's multi-book Jeeves collection.

Short answer
Jonathan Cecil: solo and marked unabridged. One caution: his listing names seven stories under "Stories featured" and does not say whether that is everything in it. His running time is in line with the readings whose listings promise all ten, so we take it as complete; if you want that in writing, the Kevin Theis and Graham Scott listings each say ten stories in so many words. Martin Jarvis's edition is the one to watch: Audible's listing data marks it unabridged, but its own description says it holds seven of the stories, so it is a selection and not the book. Stephen Fry's reading is real but not sold by itself — it is inside "P.G. Wodehouse Volume 1: The Jeeves Collection", with The Inimitable Jeeves, Right Ho, Jeeves, The Code of the Woosters and Joy in the Morning. The Online Stage edition is the text read by a cast, with Rob Goll as Bertie and Graham Scott as Jeeves.
The recordings, compared
| Narrator | Length | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jonathan Cecil Our pick | 7 hrs 3 mins | Unabridged | Solo and marked unabridged. The description names seven stories under "Stories featured" and does not say whether the list is complete. |
| David Rintoul | 7 hrs 27 mins | Unabridged | Complete and solo. Listed as "Carry on Jeeves", without the comma. |
| B.J. Harrison | 7 hrs 38 mins | Unabridged | Complete and solo, published by the narrator. Subtitled "Jeeves & Wooster, Book 3". |
| Kevin Theis | 7 hrs 50 mins | Unabridged | Complete and solo. "Unabridged" is in the listing title, and the description says ten stories. |
| Graham Scott | 8 hrs 39 mins | Unabridged | Complete and solo; the description says ten stories. Scott is also Jeeves in the cast reading from the same publisher. |
| Rob Goll, Graham Scott, Anna Grace and a cast | 8 hrs 9 mins | Unabridged, full cast | The Online Stage: the text read by a cast, with Rob Goll as Bertie and Graham Scott as Jeeves. Marked unabridged. |
| Martin Jarvis | 4 hrs 50 mins | Selection of seven stories | Not the whole book: its description says it holds seven of the stories, each unabridged, which is how Audible's listing data comes to mark it unabridged. 2 hrs 13 mins shorter than the shortest complete reading here. |
| Stephen Fry | 40 hrs 37 mins | Unabridged, multi-book collection | Not this book alone: "P.G. Wodehouse Volume 1: The Jeeves Collection". Carry On, Jeeves is in it, with The Inimitable Jeeves, Right Ho, Jeeves, The Code of the Woosters and Joy in the Morning, and one running time covers them all. |
