Audiobooks narrated by Martin Jarvis
Jon in the BBC's 1967 Forsyte Saga and Uriah Heep in its 1974 David Copperfield, and a long-standing voice on BBC Radio 4, where he is known for his Just William readings. On the UK store he reads Dickens complete — Great Expectations, Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities and David Copperfield are all on this site's comparisons — but most of his Wodehouse is abridged, and his Carry On Jeeves holds only some of the stories: check the runtime before buying a Jeeves title in his voice. He also has parts in BBC radio dramatisations, including the Narnia Horse and His Boy and a War of the Worlds.

Watch the type column. 4 of these are abridged — a shortened text, not the whole book, for the same credit. Why that keeps happening →
