Terry Pratchett · 2 Audible UK recordings compared
Short answer
Ariyon Bakare for the complete book. It stands on its own, so there is no series voice to match — and since it is often bought for children, check the listing: the Tony Robinson one is abridged.
The recordings, compared
| Narrator | Length | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ariyon Bakare, with Rob Wilkins, Bill Nighy and Peter Serafinowicz Our pick | 8 hrs 7 mins | Unabridged | The current recording, complete: Audible's listing data marks it unabridged. |
| Tony Robinson | 3 hrs 7 mins | Abridged | Marked abridged in Audible's listing data; the description does not say so either way. |
The recording we recommend is also on Audiobooks.com — the same Ariyon Bakare reading, listed at 8 hrs 8 mins when we checked on 21 October 2026. Their one-credit plan is listed at £7.99 a month before applicable taxes, and its credits expire after three months — the two models compared. We earn a commission on that link.
